Posted on Thursday, June 6, 2013 12:01am

One of the first men to set foot on the moon is going to set foot in Ventura County this weekend, to sign copies of his newest book.
Buzz Aldrin is going to appear at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley on Saturday, to sign copies of his book “Mission To Mars: My Vision for Space Exploration.”

In 1966, Aldrin performed the world’s first successful spacewalk, and in 1969, he joined Neil Armstrong as one of the first two people to set foot on the moon.

Books must be purchased at the museum’s bookstore to be eligible for the 1 p.m. book signing in Simi Valley.
