White Brush Fire In Santa Barbara County Now 100% Contained

A brush fire in Santa Barbara County which caused a big scare earlier this week has been fully contained.

The nearly 2000 acre White Fire in the Los Padres National Forest, northwest of Santa Barbara was declared contained late Thursday afternoon.

The cause of the fire, which began in the White Day Use area on Monday afternoon, is still under investigation.

No homes were destroyed by the blaze, but some were threatened, and thousands of people had to be evacuated from recreation areas.
