A series of earthquakes has rocked Santa Barbara County, with one large quake yesterday, followed by smaller quakes my midnight yesterday.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 4.8 quake struck at 7:38 yesterday morning. It was centered four miles west of Isla Vista. The magnitude was revised upwards from a 4.6, as geologists studied the quake data.
A series of aftershocks occurred thoughout the day yesterday, with the largest a magnitude 3.1 temblor shortly after 8 last night. No injuries, or damage was reported from any of the quakes.
