Firefighters continued to make progress today towards containing the White Brush Fire, which has burned more than 1900 acres of land in Santa Barbara County. The fire is now 90% contained.

Firefighters say they’re having a rough time with the northeast edge of the fire, which is in rugged, remote terrain, but note there was little movement of the fire in the Los Padres National Forest today.

More than 800 firefighters continue to battle the fire, which began Monday afternoon in the White Day use area. No homes have been destroyed.
