Posted on Friday, May 17, 2013 11:29am

Oxnard Police say they’re investigating an incident in which they say a teenager was accidentally cut with a knife while trying to escape pursuers on an elementary school campus.

It happened just after 8 this morning, at Haycox Elementary School. Police say a 16 year old boy was being chased by six people when he fell, and cut his hand with a knife he was using to defend himself. The teen then ran into the school office, and school officials called 911.

No one else was hurt. The others involved in the incident fled the scene before police reached the scene.
