A public high school, and two private schools in Simi Valley were placed on lockdown for nearly two hours this morning, following a bank robbery near the campuses.
An armed man robbed a Chase bank on the 5100 block of Los Angeles Avenue around 10 a.m. No one was hurt.
The robber escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
As officers searched the area for the robber, Simi Valley High School and two private schools were placed on lockdown.
The lockdowns were lifted just before noon.
