High Pressure Could Bring Record Temperatures To South Coast

Posted on Monday, May 13, 2013 6:43am

Strong high pressure means the South Coast could have record high temperatures today, and the potential for dangerous sundowner winds in the Santa Barbara area this evening.

A shallow marine layer is expected to mean temperatures will stay a bit cooler along the coast.

However, firefighters are geared up for a potentially high fire danger inland.

The high pressure is expected to ease tomorrow, opening the door to cooler weather.
