Posted on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 12:58am

A man is facing a charge of making a criminal threat, after Ventura County Sheriff’s Department detectives say he sent a threatening e-mail to a local university.

Investigators say a California Lutheran University employee received an e-mail May 1st, threatening a shooting at the Thousand Oaks campus.

It was reported to the Sheriff’s Department, and after an investigation, detectives arrested Thomas Pecel of Ventura on Tuesday.

Detectives aren’t detailing the specifics of the threat, or what they think prompted the 30 year old man to make it.
