Five Cited In Sweep Targeting Stores Selling Alcohol To Minors In Eastern Ventura County

A sweep to crack down on illegal alcohol sales to minors in Eastern Ventura County targeted nearly 60 businesses, and led to five arrests.

The Simi Valley Police Department used underage decoys to try to buy liquor from 59 businesses in the city.

Five clerks were arrested for furnishing alcohol to a minor. Police say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to crack down on alcohol use by minors.
