Authorities are trying to track down a brazen thief who forcibly opened a mail box in front of a post office in Ventura County, and stole its contents.
Ventura County Sheriff’s investigators say it happened sometime Thursday night, or early Friday morning outside of the Moorpark Post Office, on the 100 block of West High Street. No one is sure exactly how much mail was stolen from the mailbox. It was a drive through box, set up so people could drop off mail without getting out of their vehicle.
Authorities are saying anyone who used that mailbox last Thursday, or early Friday should monitor their personal, and financial information to insure they don’t become the victims of identity theft.
