Prosecutors say a Santa Barbara County supermarket manager man entered guilty pleas to charges that he embezzled more than $65,000 over a two year period.
The prosecutors say Samuel Rivera stole money from Santa Cruz Market by voiding transactions. They say he voided approximately 800 transactions between September of 2010, and September of 2012, and pocketed the money.
Rivera entered guilty please to felony embezzlement, felony grand theft, and a special allegation that he stole in excess of $65,000. He’ll be sentenced next month.
