One worker is dead, and a second seriously injured following an accident at a concrete business in Ventura County.
It happened just after four p.m. yesterday, on the 200 block of West Los Angeles Avenue, in Simi Valley. A more than two ton form used to make concrete blocks fell as it was being moved by a crane.
Captain Mike Lindbery, with the Ventura County Fire Department, says the man trapped by the steel was pronounced dead at the scene.
Simi Valley Police, and Cal-OSHA are investigating the accident. The names of the man who died, and the second person who was seriously injured haven’t been released.
