Santa Barbara County Rejects Free Coastal Access In Gaviota Because Of Threats Of Legal Action By Nearby Homeowners

It’s a beautiful section of coastline in Santa Barbara County, and, thanks to a more than three decade old agreement, the county could have a prime piece of it for free forever for public coastal access.

But, KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports that County Supervisors turned down the coastal beach access in Hollister Ranch, because of the threat of legal action by homeowners in the area:
