A Ventura woman is facing multiple charges after police say she led them on a vehicle chase around the city.
It happened just after 4 p.m. yesterday. An officer on patrol near Pierpoint Boulevard, and Seaward Avenue tried to pull over a car for an equipment violation. A male passenger got out of the car, but the female driver sped away the scene.
Officers say Jessica Ryan ran a number of stop signs, and was weaving across both sides of streets. She finally stopped on the 2900 block of Seaborg Avenue, and after refusing to surrender, the 47 year old woman was arrested with the help of a police K-9. Ryan was arrested for for felony evading, resisting arrest and driving under the influence.
