The death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher is being remembered at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, in Simi Valley.
The Library has set up a photo display showcasing the friendship of Thatcher, and Reagan. It’s also put out a condolence book.
The Prime Minister and the late President were close friends, who worked together during their terms in office. She visited Santa Barbara County in 1993, when she went to the Reagans Rancho Del Cielo ranch, and attended one of the memorial services for President Reagan after he died.
Nancy Reagan issued a statement today saying Ronnie and Margaret were political soul mates, committed to freedom, and resolved to end Communism, and that in losing Thatcher, the world has lost a champion of freedom, and democracy.
