The fate of an animal shelter being called the only no-kill facility in Ventura County is set to be discussed tonight in Santa Paula.
The Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center opened last summer with the City’s support, providing an easily accessible community facility.
But, some people who live near the center on the 700 block of East Santa Barbara Street have complained about noise, and smell.
City officials have told shelter officials they’ll have to move it, but the City Council is looking at the question is over how quickly it should occur. Shelter officials have asked the city for time to find an adequate site for a new home. The Council is set to look at the issue at its meeting this evening.
