A blocked sewer line is being blamed for a roughly 2,000 gallon sewage spill which continues to keep part of a Ventura park closed.
The problem was first discovered at around 8:30 yesterday morning, at Camino Real Park.
The spill lasted for about an hour, with most of the sewage going into a storm drain, and about 500 gallons ending up on grass in the park.
Crews spent much of the day yesterday working to clean up the mess. However, portions of the park will be closed through Thursday, to prevent exposure to the contamination.
