Here’s something you don’t hear everyday. A government agency in Ventura County wants to give money to some people, and businesses.
A review by the City of Thousand Oaks shows that it has more than $7,000 in overpayment from water bills.
The money is tied to people who moved, or closed businesses, but continued to pay utility bills.
75 customers without current valid addresses have been identified, with refunds up to more than $600 waiting. The names on the accounts have been posted on the City of Thousand Oaks website.
