A judge has granted another postponement in the trial of a man accused of murdering a Ventura County couple, and their unborn child in the family’s beachfront home.
Ventura County Superior Court Judge Patricia Murphy approved moving the start of Joshua Packer’s trial from April, to June after seeing some undisclosed defense documents.
The now 22 year old man is accused of the May, 2009 killing of Brock and Davina Husted in the couple’s Faria Beach home. Davina Husted was pregnant at the time.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in the case.
