It could soon cost more to use many recreational facilities owned by Santa Barbara County.
The County’s Community Services Department is looking at raising a number of fees for things ranging from camping, to participation in aquatic programs, to help cover rising costs.
Among the proposed hikes are increasing the camping fees at Cachuma Lake, and Jalama Beach by $3.00 a night, and the cabin fees by $10.00 a night.
The proposed increases are expected to raise an additional $230,000 a year. County Supervisors will consider the hikes when they meet tomorrow.
