Santa Barbara Fire Department investigators now say a fire which caused a big scare in a neighborhood started in a storage building, but haven’t pinpointed the exact cause.
The blaze was discovered just after 1 a.m. Friday, on the 1100 block of East De la Guerra Street. The fire tore through the wooden storage building, and threatened some neighboring homes. Several were briefly evacuated, but firefighters quickly stopped the spread of the fire before it could reach neighboring structures.
