A transient has been arrested for a brutal beating which seriously injured a homeless man in Santa Barbara.
Santa Barbara Police say they arrested Michael Keith Dawson for the February 13th attack.
Detectives say they got a break in the case when they heard that someone had been bragging about beating a man to death in a park.
It led them to Dawson, a 39 year old man they believe spent much of his time in Ventura.
The man who was badly injured in the attack earlier this month is still in the hospital, but is expected to survive.
The victim’s name isn’t being released.
