Santa Barbara County’s CEO could be headed to Orange County.
Orange County officials have set up a committee to negotiate with Chandra Wallar to become their CEO.
Wallar has been Santa Barbara County’s top non-elected official since September of 2010.
Leading Orange County would be a big step up career wise, going from managing an $800 million dollar a year budget to one in the six billion dollar range.
Wallar notified Santa Barbara County Supervisors this week that she is talking to Orange County about the post, confirming a report which appeared in Orange County media.
