An executive director has been named for a new Lifelong Learning Center in Santa Barbara County.
Andrew Harper will head Santa Barbara City College’s new center. The center will offer not for credit, fee based courses and seminars beginning this fall. The program is being created by the college district to replace popular adult education courses cancelled due to budget cuts. The effort is intended to save enrichment programs hit by the budget ax, but through an effort which will be self sustaining through fees.
Harper already worked for the district as a Program Director with the College’s Continuing Education Division, developing more than 400 course outlines, and overseeing off campus class sites.
