Crime statistics for the largest city in Ventura County follow the same trend we’ve seen in many neighboring communities, with violent crime down overall, and property crimes up in 2012.

he City of Oxnard saw the number of violent crimes drop from 619 in 2011 to 603 last year.
There were nine murders in the city last year, up one from 2011.
Property crimes spiked last year, going from 4100 to more than 4700.
