Dental care seems like a basic thing that everyone should have in an area like the South Coast.
But, tens of thousands of kids in Ventura County not only don’t see the dentist regularly, some of them have never been to a dentist.
This week, health care officials, dental experts, educators, and members of some non-profit groups met to talk about the problem,
in what’s being called the Ventura County Children’s Oral Health Summit.
KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports the day long Camarillo meeting focused on trying to coordinate the efforts of different groups involved with this issue.
