Ventura County based biotech giant Amgen has announced 160 layoffs company-wide, with half of the job cuts occurring locally.
Affected employees were notified earlier this month.
Company officials say they’re providing support services to try to help the affected workers deal with the transition. There’s no word on the exact timing of the layoffs.
Amgen has about 18,000 employees worldwide, and reported $17.3 billion dollars in revenue last year.
