As the 2013 Santa Barbara International Film Festival kicks off tonight, there’s word of a big change in the event’s lineup. Due to what the festival is calling a scheduling conflict, Leonardo DiCaprio won’t be on hand February 1st to accept its “Riviera Award.”
The festival will now give the award to director/screenwriter/actor Quentin Tarantino.
Tarantino directed DiCaprio in the movie “Django Unchained,” which is up for five Academy Awards. Some of his other critically acclaimed films include “Inglourious Basterds,” “Natural Born Killers,” and “Pulp Fiction”.
