A Ventura County man reached a plea bargain with prosecutors in connection with a 2011 killing, and is expected to receive a nine year prison sentence for lesser charges.
Rodolfo Marmolejo had been accused of murder for the November, 2011 stabbing death of Juan Carlos Valadez in a Camarillo alley.
Prosecutors say Marmolejo and Valadez were members of rival gangs.
The Camarillo man entered guilty pleas to assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, and acting on behalf of a street gang.
A second person is awaiting trial for the killing of the 18 year old man, and a third possible suspect is still being sought.
