A soldier who grew up in Ventura County, and his wife were shot and killed in what police believe was a burglary attempt at their Colorado home.
Colorado Springs police say David Dunlap and his wife, Whitney returned to their home Monday afternoon when they apparently surprised the burglar.
They’re looking for a 17 year old boy they think was responsible.
Dunlap was a member of the 4th Infantry Division based at Fort Carson, near Colorado Springs.
He went to high school in Simi Valley, and then joined the Army, serving a tour in Iraq. Dunlap, and his wife were expecting their first child.
