A longtime Santa Clara Valley businessman, who served two terms as Santa Paula’a mayor has died.
Carl Barringer owned a local construction company, served as President of Santa Paula’s Chamber of Commerce, and and was on the Santa Paula City Council for eight years. He helped spearhead successful efforts to widen Highway 126.
Barringer was a World War Two veteran, who lived in Santa Paula for more than six decades.
He was 90 years old.
