A major bank says it’s going to eliminate 51 positions in Ventura County, ironically because the economy is improving.
Bank of America says it will eliminate the positions at a Simi Valley facility which handle load defaults. Bank officials say they’ve had a drop in delinquent loans, and as a result, a reduced need for services. The company says it will try to place as many workers as possible in other positions, and assist those being laid off with career counseling assistance.
