An online educational company based in Santa Barbara County has received a more than $100 million dollar cash infusion from investors, to try to fuel its growth.
Carpinteria-based Lynda.com announced it received $103 million dollars in funding from Accel Partners, and Spectrum Equity.
It’s the first time outside investors have been brought in to help grow the nearly two decade old company.
Lynda.com provides software, and training to more than two million people worldwide, with a library of more than 87,000 videos.
The company reports it had more than $100 million dollars in revenue last year.
