Firefighters have put out a blaze that put up a lot of smoke in the Ventura area, as it heavily damaged a home.
The fire was discovered just after 4 p.m., in a home on the 2100 block of Channel Drive.
Firefighters found a large blaze underway. They searched the house, but there was no one at home.
More than two dozen firefighters brought the fire under control. There’s no word yet on the fire’s cause.
