An armed robbery literally dropped into a Conejo Valley check cashing business, entering through the roof to what was supposed to be a secured area of the business.
It happened at about 9 a.m. Thursday, on the 2400 block of Hillcrest Drive in Newbury Park. Ventura County Sheriff’s investigators say the man forced his way through a roof opening into the back of the business, and then robbed a clerk who was helping customers. He then fled, taking an undisclosed amount of money.
No one was hurt.
