Santa Barbara County’s newest County Supervisor is now officially on the job.
Peter Adam took the oath of office yesterday as the county’s new Fourth District Supervisor.
Adam defeated longtime supervisor Joni Gray last November, who was forced out after 14 years on the board. He’s a farmer from the Santa Maria Valley, who campaigned on the premise that the county has to do a better job of living within its means.
The Fourth Supervisorial District includes a big chunk of the central part of the county, as well as all of Lompoc, and part of Santa Maria.
