Caltrans resumed work today on construction of carpool lanes for a six mile stretch of the 101 Freeway between Ventura, and Santa Barbara Counties, after taking a break for the holidays.
Crews are focusing on pouring concrete, and installing drainage systems in the freeway median from La Conchita to Bates Road for the next few weeks. The work is scheduled to take place from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily.
No lane closures are planned for at least the next two weeks, but drivers can expect slowing in the area during construction due to the activity.
