Wanted Man Arrested After Standoff With Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputies

A Ventura County man wanted for a felony warrant was arrested following a standoff with County Sheriff’s deputies who were trying to arrest him.

Deputies spotted Jesus Rodriguez on the 500 block of Ventura Avenue in Ojai around 4 p.m. Friday. They say the 28 year old Ojai man eluded officers, and climbed onto the roof of a building. The deputies spotted Rodriguez, who they say was armed with a knife. After several hours of discussion, deputies used a weapon to stun the man, and safely take him into custody.

Rodriguez was arrested for for possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting a peace officer, threatening an officer, and possession of a weapon.
