Ventura Police are trying to determine what led to an accident which left a pedestrian dead.
A vehicle hit Billy Herring of Ventura as he tried to cross Thompson Boulevard, at South Palm Street just after 5 Friday night. The 56 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say that neither drugs, nor alcohol appear to be factors in the accident.
