The owner of a Ventura County based tool making company which is the largest of its type in North America made a big donation to a state university, for a new engineering lab.
Gene Haas gave $50,000 to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, for the university’s Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Department.
The money will be used for laboratory equipment, as well as scholarships. Haas owns Oxnard based Haas Automation, which is a machine tool manufacturing operation.
