Outdoor weddings, corporate parties, and other outdoor events may soon become popular at a Thousand Oaks golf course, if the Thousand Oaks City Council tonight approves a plan to build an outdoor events facility.
The council is set to consider a nearly two million dollar project to build the center at the city owned Los Robles Greens Golf Course. It would be built on a vacant 1.8 acre site next to the course’s putting green.
City officials say the facility would bring in as much as an additional $200,000 annually, paying for itself eventually, and also helping to keep greens feels affordable. City staff members are recommending the council accept a low bid of $1.57 million dollars from the Los Angeles firm of E. Avico for construction.
