In the wake of the tragic school shooting in Connecticut, the Santa Barbara School District is sending out a letter about school safety to all parents about the district’s school safety procedures.
In the letter from Superintendent Dave Cash, the district says it requires all campus visitors, including parents, vendors, and even the media to go through the school’s office.
It says other campus entrances remained locked through the day.
The Superintendent says there is no way to make a campus completely safe, but the numerous procedures they have in place do improve safety.
