A 25 year old man is facing an arson charge, after police say say he took down down a courthouse flag, and burned it.
Witnesses say they say they saw Gary Working take down a flag flying outside of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, on the 1400 block of State Street Monday night.
Police say he burned the rope used to raise the flag, lowered, it, dragged it across the ground, and then set it on fire.
Witnesses say they told the Santa Barbara man they were calling 911, but that he responded by saying he was homeless, and not hurting anyone, and they should go ahead and call police. Working was arrested at the scene.
