Ventura County’s largest city has to figure out how it will fill a City Council vacancy.

The Oxnard City Council tonight is scheduled to discuss how the post should be filled.

The vacancy was created by the election of Councilman Tim Flynn as Mayor last month.

There are two years left on his four year term. The Oxnard Council could appoint a replacement, or hold a special election.
