Ventura County’s largest city will get its first new mayor since 2004 tonight.
Tim Flynn will be sworn in as Oxnard’s new mayor, at a special City Council meeting taking place at the city’s downtown library complex.
The event will also honor outgoing Mayor Tom Holden, who decided not to run for a fifth term, as well as outgoing councilwoman Irene Pinkard.
In addition to Flynn being sworn into office, re-elected City Councilman Bryan MacDonald will officially start his second term in
office, and newly elected Councilwoman Dorina Padilla will begin her term.
The special meeting begins at 7 p.m. tonight.
