The governor has appointed a Ventura County prosecutor to a vacant Superior Court Judge’s post.
Gilbert Romero will fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Edward Brodie last year.
Romero was born, and raised in Oxnard. The 40 year old man graduated from Cal State Northridge, and the UC Hastings College of Law, in San Francisco. Romero has been a prosecutor in Ventura County since 1999. He’ll take office later this month.
