Posted on Friday, November 30, 2012 12:51am

A special commuter train decorated with holiday displays, and more than 50,000 lights is visiting Ventura County this weekend.
The Metrolink Holiday Toy Express will stop in Oxnard, Camarillo, Moorpark, and Simi Valley.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit with kids at each stop, and there will be music, and tours of the trains during the free events.

Visitors are being encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys to support a toy drive for children in need sponsored by firefighters.
The train is scheduled to be at the Metrolink station in Camarillo at 5 p.m. Saturday, the Oxnard station at 6 p.m., and the Moorpark station at 7 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, the holiday train is set to be at the Simi Valley station at 6:45 p.m.

Metrolink officials say families planning to take part in the event should check the commuter train service’s schedule the day of the event for any possible schedule changes.
