Man Arrested In Nevada For Alleged Kidnapping Of Girlfriend In Simi Valley

Posted on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 12:53am

A man police say kidnapped his girlfriend from a Simi Valley residential care facility is now behind bars, in Nevada.
Just before 10 a.m. Sunday, workers at a care facility on the 3100 block of Lori Circle called Simi Valley Police, saying the boyfriend of an employee was there, causing a disturbance.

Witnesses say it was a physical altercation, with Reymon Cagabhion of Granada Hills chasing Ira Capule around a car.

No one saw the two leave, but investigators say the 31 year old woman had told co-workers she feared for her safety because of the recent behavior of her boyfriend.

Police issued an alert for a possible kidnapping.

At around 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nevada Highway Patrol officers spotted the vehicle just over the California-Nevada state line.
They stopped the car, and after Capule said she had been kidnapped, arrested the 33 year old man.

He’s being held in Nevada, pending extradition to California. The woman was unhurt.
