Some community health clinics on the East Coast hit hard by Hurricane Sandy are getting some help from a relief group in Santa Barbara County.
Direct Relief International is teaming up with the National Association of Community Health Centers to give $250,000 to the Joseph Addabbo Family Center.
Three of the center’s clinics were severely damaged by the hurricane, with an estimated two million dollars in damage.
DRI has already committed a million dollars in cash towards Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, as well as 25,000 pounds in medical supplies.
