Construction tonight, and for the next few nights could mean some overnight traffic tieups on the 101 Freeway between Ventura, and Santa Barbara.
Work is continuing on a project to add carpool lanes, as well as other improvements to a stretch of the freeway near the Ventura-Santa Barbara County line.
Crews will be doing median work, and other improvements between Bates Road, and the Mobil Pier Road.
The work means that a lane of the freeway could be closed in each direction during the overnight, and morning hours.
The closures will start at about 7 p.m. nightly, and wrap up at 6 a.m. for northbound traffic, and 9 a.m. for southbound traffic.
This phase of the project, with some lane closures is expected to continue into next week.
